Summer is here! The hot season has begun!

One of my more bulky crafts, also maybe more whimsical ones, but it was fun to make.

My absolute favorite father figure on TV. So many great moments. My favorite might be the pool shark episode, “Jeffrey, break out Lucille.” What are some of your favorites?

In This Moment is hands down one of my favorite metal bands. And one few other metal heads I know have heard of. Amazing band!

Reilyh: I mades kitty sword :D looked up cat body language to make it. It has three mods: tired/sleepy, curios, and angry. Notice how the tip of tired mode is dull, while the other two are sharp.

Yesterdays picture

This is some art I did using the android app “Autodesk Sketchbook” in 2025.

I modeled out a glass block and I wanted to use it in a scene. This what I came up with.

Another attempt at colorizing from a monochrome reference. This one turned out better I think. Thoughts or feedback?

I tried this before and it ended up creepy, so this time I went with standard colors. The monochrome is the reference. How did I do?

Another craft made from a simple brass plate, this time the design relies on contrast. It’s quite simple, but still one that I’m rather fond of, even though others might not feel the same.

To continue with the spookiness, a pair of guillotine earrings, roughly inspired by ones made in France around 1880, that reference obviously the French revolution. I’ve been making those for a few years, but they don’t seem any less relevant nowadays.

The original reference material was desaturated which have it a beautiful chilly effect. In my painting I tried to bring warmth in and change how inviting the model appears. Thoughts?

I tried another way of creating false color painting. But now that I look at it I think it might be creepy. Did I enter the uncanny valley?

Finished up my group sketch for my last Barbarians of Lemuria campaign. I probably won’t polish this any further.

This is a pho-commission. LaunchesKayaks asked if I do them, and I don’t. But I like to take requests and that’s what this is. She asked me to paint her and her horse. My first time painting a horse. How did I do?

I still haven’t drawn much but this is the first one I’d consider a failure. I found good references and spent a good chunk of time sketching it out, only for me to realize the acrylic for the background immediately covered the sketches so I had to draw from memory. Plus I then realized my sketch was much smaller than my brush. All in all, total failure. Couldn’t even figure out how to make the background interesting so I just splotched trees in there. Still sharing it tho because that’s how you grow, right? :3

This is the most complex one I’ve done so far, and I almost ran out of material (single straightened coathanger), so ~8 letters max. Coathanger is surprisingly difficult to bend into such intricate shapes. It took me around 2½ hours to do with two different types of pliers plus hand bending.

I decided to dust of my ancient Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and give Krita a try for the first time. I really like it over Gimp for illustration. Fast and easy, and played well with my tablet.
