So this was actually a pulp magazine as I understand it, which ran concurrent with The Shadow comics, but each one of those was like a monthly novella, so to speak. In other words, few pictures, and mainly a little book. In magazine form!
I’m not a big comic reader but every once in awhile, my best friend will show up with a comic he thinks I should read. He’s never been wrong - last time it was Ultimate Martian Manhunter, this time it was The Sentry.
So, about a year ago I tried reading spiderman comics. I watched the 1994 Spiderman cartoon as a kid. I watched the movies. Technically I’m in Spiderman 3. I played the video games. Always been a spiderman fan, and then realized that for some reason I just never read the comics.
I’m trying to think of something good to say about this series, trying to look at it as an ambitious portrayal of darkness and depravity in the Marvel universe but it’s much too lightheaded and too fleeting to be taken seriously.
Ok, so imagine in the spiderman universe, if some character like Dr Strange, started casting spells on people. Except NOT Dr Strange, because he wouldn’t do this. But find a character who’s able to cast spells and is a villain.

I can’t talk about this comic book without stressing the important fact that much of the joy and wonder and amazement that I got out of this book was due to the fact that I was already familiar with a lot of the stories in this comic book.
The only other comic book I have read and finished is Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite and that was years ago so I don’t really know how to go about this but I’ll try my best.
@comicbooks Hey all. I'm not sure how many of you like unfiction, Mystery/Psychological-Horror comics, but I've been working on one called Onyx Rayne. One e-book/volume's available so far (That's 16 installments worth). It's at
So I was just watching a video on youtube where a guy looks at various designs of Batman’s costume, and explaining why certain versions of the suit make sense for the project it appears in.
I don’t see many movies. Maybe 1-2 a year? I absolutely have not seen even 10% of the MCU movies. I saw The Avengers in 2012. Then I saw Wolferine and Deadpool a couple years ago.
