A piece of glitch art I made starting from a photo of a miniature I 3D printed and partially painted. I primarily did the modification in Blender’s Compositor and Audacity.
I’m not new to drawing and art, but I have been out of practice for many years, and I have never in my life used a digital art tablet. I feel like I’m starting from square one, because I am. I’ve had it for a few days now, and I’m dedicated to doing at least 6 minutes a day for a hundred (or more, I’m old, and thus a slow learner.) days, and I know for the first excruciatingly long while I will be strictly producing absolute trash and am not afraid of that. I’ve played guitar consistently since I was 14, so I’m very familiar with the seemingly stagnant pace that is required for learning and progress, but I really want to learn and progress. That’s the whole reason I got the tablet. I’ve got an itch.
Felt pretty inspired the other day, so I redrew Integrelle from scratch, trying out some new styles and techniques. Kinda cool that I can see my improvements over the years!

I decided to dust of my ancient Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and give Krita a try for the first time. I really like it over Gimp for illustration. Fast and easy, and played well with my tablet.

Hi everyone. In my previous post, I sent you a logo design and asked, "Does it look like a mouse?"
After that post, I realized that the nose didn’t resemble a ink pen tip at all. Therefore, after removing the ears, my first task was to try and make the nose look more like a pen tip. Personally, it looks too short; maybe I’ll draw the logo from scratch. What do you think? Do you think it’s too short?

I’m working on a logo to make my Lemmy account more aesthetically pleasing; it will be my profile picture. As the name suggests, the theme of my logo is a mouse and ink. I’ve almost finished the nose part.
I can say that I struggled quite a bit with this project I created using Canva, as I don’t have pro skills. Since I didn’t want to use pre-made assets, I resorted to overlapping geometric shapes. To be honest, it was very difficult.
The problem is, no matter who I show this to, almost everyone sees a Ram or a Goat. I intended it to be a Mouse.
I have a XPPEN Deco mini 7 v2, and after finishing a drawing session (doesn’t matter if it is a long one, or a 10 min ) my head is just killing for some time. While using it i get this sweet poking feeling in the upper front of my brain(it’s the same place i get the headache after turning off the tablet). If you’ve ever had these symptomps and you found a better product let me now.
(I had the same symptoms using bluetooth small earphones)
With AI Poisoning/Protection of any Kind, Its always Important to stay up to Date as LLMs Continue to Evolve. With things like Glaze having been Last Updated in June 2024 and its Poison getting less and less Effective, to the point its Pretty much Useless now, Its time to look for a Modern Alternative!

i would like to buy a wacom intuos or intuos pro but idk how well they are supported on linux mint. do they have special software that needs to be installed or have a GUI-software too? does inkscape or krita work with them well and with linux, is the performance different on windows. thx.

I received an email, apparently about a month ago. The other day I noticed it in my Spam folder, and responded to it. It didn’t trigger any alarm bells at first, partly because it was so well targeted, the scammer asked for the exact services that I am literally preparing my portfolio to formally offer at this moment. These scams aren’t usually quite so Nail on the Head. However I should have noticed the little typos, and also questioned the fact that I had been contacted nearly a month earlier, but after responding, he proposed a job with a deadline at the end of this month. What exactly would his plan be if I hadn’t responded, because a month is already pushing it.
My apologies if this post goes against the rules (Mods, please delete if so), but can anyone recommend to me a good free digital art software I can download? So far someone has mentioned Krita, but I was wondering what people here found to be the best? I am familiar with Illustrator, so I have an understanding of how vector graphics editor and design software works, I’ve just been out of the art game for ages, so I have no idea what’s out there.
