This build was created out of the concept of the Harvester. In the end the below picture just didn’t have the pizzazz as the Agonwrought. This build was created to suffer as it cannot die.

Just something I threw together on stream. I might make instructions for it as well.

Two new builds that will be the start of my next realm, The Living Foundry.

I’m very surprised checking the "Lego City" theme and seeing that there’s police station, fire station, airport, trains, buses, boats, other stuff… but no inhabitants!

So, I created instructions for the Widowbloom Lotus. I plan on making more instructions for other builds, and no not the Veinhart… 🤣

I believe this is from this year’s show, which ends later today.

This will be on display at the Michigan State Fair starting tomorrow until Monday. Unfortunately the build will not be under a black light while on display.

This is certainly dating me, but I used to see loads of lovely diorama interiors online, both real-life and CG-produced, around 25-30yrs ago. For example medieval castles, Dungeons&Dragons-type fantasy scenarios, and lush, detailed historical settings that filled up the entire screen, making the viewer feel that they were inside the sets. Wallpaper material, one might say. The feel was like in the OP, as well as maybe this one:

Truck and trailer with a little atv in the trailer.

3d printed parts. Tires and helment. Trial and error progression for helment. Modded ender3 pro. Pushing the limit of resolution for the setup, but fun results!

There are number of similar waterfalls on YT (some using actual water!), but I found this the most charming of the lot. Just that it’s only on Instagram, I guess.

I really enjoy how well I made these and their articulation points. I felt that the mechs needed some companions, so I created the Shepherds and their corresponding load out kits. They’re not 100% functional in a way I want, but boy howdy I enjoy them! I want to make more and create a proper scene for each, some day.

I created this build for the Bricksculpting Discord Summer Challenge. The build resides on a PAB cup and it works perfectly!

I like to build spaceships. So here are some of the spaceships I have built out of the 3-in-1 Spaceship set (31117)

I acquired a bulk lot and found this Nintendo DS game case and came up with this mech idea. I didn’t like the fact there wasn’t a proper backdrop, so I made this cyberpunk industrial scene. I included pictures of the game case and the original build. I used the Nintendo DS game case as the base of the mech build.

Continuing on from Bert & Ernie posted here a couple weeks ago, going through my archives yesterday I bumped in to another one of these pretty displays. Happy Pride Month!

I hope this isn’t against any rules but I have to preface this by saying that this was a little non-lego (but lego-adjacent) project I was working on for a friend’s birthday present. He is really, really into lego, and whilst I do enjoy building the odd set, I’m not really into it as a hobby per-se, so something lego related seemed obvious.

Companion-piece to my Spyrius Saucer Scout-inspired MOC. This one was way harder… Since Saucer Scout is (almost) rotationally symmetric and has no obvious front/back, I wanted to build something that had no obvious up/down.

This is the result of my sister getting me another magnolia branches set for birthday and finally utilizing it. I always enjoy faces, so I felt that I needed to try something different, but keeping true with my squ1ddos-ness 😛 It has been a huge hit with my LUG as well. It’s more colorful, but yet still deadly looking. 😉

Still working on a backstory, but I’m quite proud of how this came out. I really enjoy this color scheme, and might try to expand on it. Might make another sentinel-esque build, iunno. As you can tell, I have an obsession for these fun things!

Okay, I’ll level with ya, I did not realize these builds would cause me to create such a lengthy and visceral story. However, I’m proud of it and maybe I should pursue making an actual story book? Anyways, I digress. This is an origin story for the Architect, The Torment Nexus, and the beautiful Veinhart Soul Engine and Swarm Core. These builds and their counterparts are all connected… it only took me this long to finally piece it all together. Nothing is AI generated, all my own madness. As I said, this new chapter has definitely encouraged me to take a chance. Let me know what you think.

Originally this was called the Vortex, but someone said, “naw this is the Torment Nexus!” I never knew about the lore behind the book Don’t Make The Vortex Nexus, but I felt that name was the perfect fit for this build.

I was feeling a little down in the dumps today, so I decided to cheer myself up with some LEGO time. I rebuilt the first LEGO kit I ever got as a kid: 6835 Saucer Scout. Then I decided to see if I still had any MOC skills, and I went ham on my own version. It’s chock full of illegal building techniques, but I don’t care. After all these years, these plastic bricks still bring me so much joy!

Roughly 85% the size of the original document, this MOC illustrates the 13 stripes of the nation’s flag being etched into the parchment and leaving a trail of dripping red blood. The process of methodical destruction is led by an orange separator, which represents an orange separator, and it is aided by a number of red crooks (AKA crowbars), which represent red crooks. To the left are some shrugging blue crooks, which represent shrugging blue crooks to the left. The scale and placement of text and lack of text is as accurate as possible to the actual handwriting on the document.

Paint becomes plastic in Lego’s thoughtful new homage to Monet, a build that rewards slow looking and patient hands.

I know y’all are probably tired of seeing this build come up on your feeds, but I just wanted to show it off one last time. Currently the build is dismantled and I am prepping it for transport to Brickbash Ann Arbor and Brickworld Indy. I received a lot of gripe and disdain towards me posting this revamped version. Mainly due to the fact it was just posted a month prior, saying that it was complete. A lot of the other comments were about how you can’t tell what it is or its “just a mess of parts.” I just have to remember my monolithic builds require at least a video minimum. In person would be the best way to hopefully understand and appreciate them. However, I guess there were enough upvotes for Beyond The Brick to pick up the post and share it, so that’s something? This will be the last time I post this build until I decide what I will do with it later on. This build is my masterpiece and brings me a lot of joy. I also need to revamp the story behind the build as well.

As a Beatles fan from probably 4yo or so, they’ll always have a special place in the music of my heartstrings. And while I don’t listen to them much anymore, maybe I’m amazed that their songs are so locked in to my little head that I don’t need to, anymore. Or so I flatter myself, hah.

I definitely feel that my masterpiece was in need of a proper revamp. albeit not everything was changed, the presence is much better. Sure the original build was more subtle, that’s not me… I wanted something that properly portrays the essence of this build. I want the build to feel alive and that it actually is trying to consume everything. I also need to rework the story that I wrote, to fit the concept.

Some of my creations are on display at the Dearborn Heights library for a month. They seem pretty excited and amazed by my work. Let’s see what everyone thinks of it.

I decided to re-revamp the happy plants set. So we have Frick and Frack. More abominations added to the nightmare realm.

I still haven’t figured out how to add multiple images to a post, so below is a link to my year in review. All of the builds are in ascending order as well. We’ll see what 2026 has in store for me. I honestly thought I made more this year. Granted there were a handful of builds I did that weren’t significant to me, and did not make the cut.

Here’s the build before I added the bottom section from the sacrificed Swarm Node. As you can see it didn’t have enough detail and required expansion! :P This was also before I made the build properly modular. Now, aside from a few bits, it can be reassembled quickly. Also, if all goes well, the complete build will be on display at Brickbash at the end of February!

The BrickLink website, which now has apparently been subsumed by LEGO, requires your birth year to enter – you can’t enter at all if you input a year.

I messed with the build a bit more and I feel that it is taking shape. I do not have a video of the latest progress.

I have pieces from original sets, but there are also many imitations, such as Chinese sets, which were bought for me as a child, because small Lego sets used to be very expensive at that time, while large craft sets were cheaper.

This build is a rat rod semi truck. I have plans one day to add something more to the back, instead of the panel bed.

This was my attempt at making an International 856. I do not have any pictures of the updated build with red wheels. I put it on our club’s layout from time to time.

I picked up this set as part of a competition on the BrickBuilding Discord server. Basically, buy the set and see what all you can make from it. Only a few participated, but we all won something.

This build is something I threw together in a few hours. Alas, it too was sacrificed, but it’s fun to look back on old ideas.

Our club is suppose to create a Detroit cyber city, using the New Hashima cube design, but the idea kind of gave up the ghost, so I am trying to inspire members what the idea could resemble. The idea has been in limbo for 2 years now. First there was gripe about the logo, which never came to fruition. Then the idea resurfaced earlier this year and fizzled out again. I’m really enjoying the idea and want to make more! Three of the cubes I made in May, took about 20 hours or so. The last cube, on the bottom right took about 8 hours or so.

This build is the biggest layout/display I have. There are two running trains and the Vibrant Duchess, an airship. Also a sprawling landscape with inventors galore. One inventor is working on their latest build, the Crimson Huntsman. It is a steampunk spider walker mech.

I created these spaceships at the end of 2024 for our LUG’s spaceship contest and actually won. There we a lot of great entries, but I guess my approach won everyone over.

These builds are my first official foray into the Eldritch Horror type aspect. Most of them have been sacrified, but one part survived.

These are some of the builds that the Veinhart Soul Engine is responsible for. I have a story for these, but I can’t seem to find it right now.

This is a small build that resides in the apocalyptic scraps realm. It is the scout that guides the mobile city through the realm.

This build has gone through many iterations, but I think I am finally content with the results. Unfortunately I do not have a recent video or anything showcasing how the build opens. The top floors are removable featuring a wild west area with a prospector and the other side is an Egyptian showcase. The bottom floors are reception and old Model A cars. One day I might even add lights to it.

Finished this Popcorn Wagon from the Bricklink series this past weekend. Was a fun little build!

I definitely felt that this display was lacking, so I decided to create a landscape for the build. I threw it together in 4 hours, so apologies about the crudity of the layout. I also wanted to give the build a sense of flight, so I elevated it with some trans-clear pieces. This build will be on display at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for two weeks.

This build was inspired by the recent santa sleigh Christmas set that was on sale during Black Friday. I almost pulled the trigger on it, but after looking up what parts it came with I decided to use that money to create a Bricklink order consisting of dark brown elephant trunks, and appendages (my favorite part) I knew I wanted to create an Eldritch Horror-esque type build, and roughly 5 hours later this was the end result last Friday. It will be on display at our last LEGO Christmas show of the year.

This build was created out of the inspiration from meeting Michael Kanemoto at Brickworld Chicago this year and him letting me plunder his parts collection. He was glad to meet another bar and clip type builder. So the back story behind this build is that it ties into the apocalyptic scraps realm and Arachnis’ Swarm Node. Basically the humans have harnessed Arachnis’ technology and are going to use it for taking down the Swarm Nodes.

This build has gone through a few iterations and was inspired by the lavender plant piece. I wanted to create a monster that uses the plant pieces and sculpt something from it. There’s a short story, but I only have it on the video I created for the nightmare realm. This is the 4th creature that make up the nightmare realm. Technically there’s a 5th, the nightmare carousel, but it was sacificed for the greater good. I’ll post that as well sometime.

The Conductor has awoken to feast every step taken brings the monster closer. The hands of the damned start to rise from the depths as distorted abominations appear The ground starts to tremor as the engipedes shoot out of their nest, towering over and closing in. The creature below has awakened and is ready to feast. The body is ingested and harvested for The Conductor’s fuel. Once consumed, the surface folds in on itself and prepares for the next meal. A defiled display is all that remains of a corpse as the bones are thrown into the air To satiate the realm that remains.

This is a mobile city that I created and yes, was inspired by mortal engines. The concept is that Arachnis has invaded earth and imagine the Matrix, but with alien spiders and Swarm Nodes everywhere. The last of the humans reside in Quadrant 3 and are trying to overtake her scourge and reclaim what they can.

This was my first foray into using only two colors for a build. The monochromatic aesthetic works quite well with this build.

Each member was provided one part 2903 (the large wheel) in White and was given free range to make any build using no more than 25 pieces total. I had seen a carousel earlier that day, so I very quickly had inspiration for what I wanted to build.

Short Story: In a forsaken corner of the galaxy, on the derelict planet of Rechidna Prime, this structure is known as the “Veinhart Soul Engine.” It’s the remnants of an ancient biomechanical forge built by the long-extinct Gorath Collective. They were a race of silicon-based beings who sought immortality by fusing their consciousness with industrial machinery. It was designed as a perpetual energy source, harvesting raw neural impulses from captured lifeforms and converting them into plasma fuel. The tubes are conduits of synthetic blood, pulsing with a toxic luminescent green ichor that’s actually a nanite swarm. They are a creation of a bioluminescent fungus that spreads akin to a plague.

The mining planet of Zentharis has just been invaded by Arachnis and her scourge of alien spiders. The corporation and some citizens are trying to fight back and hold off the onslaught.
