Starting the new year with finishing old projects. Pattern from White Raven Patterns

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!

I decided to make the stars multicolor so this may take a while… There are a LOT of stars in this thing lol

The second skeleton is done! I’m working on the moon now, it will be easier to see once it’s done lol

Small piece I started to see something different than blue and green for a while.

Finally, and (accidentally) matching the Halloween season! Though I’m going to do the letters again since I’m not happy with the spacing.

My spooky Halloween cross stitch is coming along nicely! I’m beginning to doubt it will be done by Halloween though lol it’s supposed to be all white on black aida but I was out of black aida so I decided to take some liberties with all of it

The skin, crown, and jewels are painted with the outlines and hair embroidered. I went for stitching, because I wanted his hair to blow in the wind. I’m relatively new to embroidery, and felt this subject benefited from my bad, newbie stitching

This is the first two poses of Goku’s Kamehameha blast! Should be starting the third one in the next few days!

I am stumped! They aren’t listed in the pattern as French knots, and they don’t appear to be 1/4 or 1/2 stitches like elsewhere in the pattern, they are just sort of… there.

I’m very bad at judging how close I am to done. And I did little else the last few days. But it’s finished. About two weeks shy of a year. Yay!

I’m 70% done. This has come a long way.

I was going to call it done once I finished all the colors but it looked really rough with the bare fabric for white so I filled in all the white spaces this time too

Getting very close to the end. And I’m about two weeks from hitting a year. Hoping to come in just under. We’ll see!

As an aside, I have come up with a way of framing my finished cross stitch projects that I really like and thought I would share here:

Needed to see something else for a change and still have a ton of fabric to work with so No Face and me are going on a little sardine adventure for the next few days.

It took 14 months and 53,592 stitches, on 16 Aida cloth!

Halfway through. Hopefully I can find a new hoop on Friday the one I’m currently using, is too deep(?) and therefore using up too much space ಠ⁠ಗ⁠ಠ

I’m 2/3 done. Ish. Just the top chunk left. I’ll probably hit a year working on it before I finish but it’ll be close.

I’m busy making a wedding gift (which i haven’t shared, as this is my first post here), and I’m doing the Noel sampler from Satsuma Street as my togo project. So I’m really not supposed to start anything new….. buuuut yesterday I got the final ingredients for “the stitchers book club” stitch-along from Cloudsfactory. I have been eyeing it since it started in January, and I was finally enabled enough to join. And then i couldn’t (wouldn’t) help myself, and had to start it!

I don’t know why it just cuts off at the waist like that, but that’s the total pattern 🤷‍♂️

Goku is about 75% done now! I hope to be finished by this weekend!

By now I have a bunch of these cards with left over yarn. I’m looking for a solution to store it properly (bring same colors from different cards together, label them with the correct ID numbers, …) but I’m not sure how.

The colors do look a little better now that the hair is done

I’m having concerns about some of the color choices that were included with this one as Goku is looking a little weird here… I’ll keep going though maybe it will look right once the hair is done?

I decided to take a break from Dracula’s castle to do this little Super Saiyan Son Goku!

I’ve had a lot of other stuff going on so I haven’t got as much done as I like but I’m past the halfway point!

46.5% done. It’s coming along nicely.

Progress continues slowly but surely!

Finally finished the middle third. Happy to reach that milestone. Hoping the rest goes a little quicker.

I was rewatching the first season of The Last of Us, and noticed a cross stitch in the background of the Bill & Frank episode.

Not on sick leave anymore so I made a little less progress. But soon I’ll be done.
